A crow's nest is a planned lookout position on some sailing vessels. When enabled, a player standing in a working nest doubles the usual map-reveal distance for everyone aboard. The lookout bonus is designed to stack with the Navigation skill and the Scroll of the Wayfinder's Eye.[1]
Crow's nests are present on the galleon and frigate ship homes, but ship-home sailing is switched off. The Sloop, rowboat, Kobold Steam Launch, Shogun galleon, and houseboat have no nest. When the effect is enabled, crew are intended to receive a chat line when a lookout goes up or comes down.
