Crops are resources obtained by growing and harvesting plants through Agriculture. They include food ingredients, brewing materials, textile fiber, flowers, and magical Reagents. Some crop resources can also be gathered in adventure scenes, purchased from merchants, or obtained as loot.
Growing crops
The basic agriculture cycle uses a Seed, a Planter, a Hoe, and water. A planted crop progresses through growth stages before it can be harvested. The first official implementation described seedlings, immature plants, and mature plants with produce.[1]
Agriculture later gained area-targeted planting, watering, and harvesting skills. Improving those skills increases the area and speed of the related action.[2] See Agriculture Skills, Water Plants, Sow Seeds Bonus, and Harvest Plants for the current wiki records.
Uses
| Crop group | Examples | Common uses |
|---|---|---|
| Food and seasoning | Garlic, Onion, Potato, Tomato | Ingredients used in Cooking recipes |
| Grain and brewing | Barley, Hops, Wheat | Cooking and Brewing |
| Reagents | Garlic, Mandrake Root, Nightshade | Spellcasting and Alchemy |
| Textile material | Raw Cotton | Textile refining and Tailoring |
| Flowers | Blue Rose, Red Rose, White Rose | Decorations and flower-arrangement recipes |
Individual crop pages document their plant or seed, vendors, recipes, and other uses.
Decorative plants
Since Release 93, an optimal harvest of any of the 27 regular agriculture plant varieties has had a small chance to yield a decorative version. The official release notes give a range of 1% to 5%, depending on plant type, and describe both regular and mature decorative versions.[3]
Eternal and pledge plants
Several legacy Backer rewards use special crop mechanics, including the Eternal Garlic Plant, Eternal Mandrake Plant, and Eternal Nightshade Plant. Release 134 changed Eternal seed growth times, watering requirements, reagent output, and decorative-plant chances to match regular seeds.[4]
Other pledge-related crops include Immortality Fruit and Royal Elderberry. Their individual pages should be consulted because acquisition and reuse behavior differ from ordinary crops.

Verification needed
- Record the current growth time and watering schedule for each seed under ordinary outdoor conditions.
- Confirm current minimum and optimal yields, including seed returns.
- Confirm how indoor placement and greenhouses currently modify growth time.
- Check the present radius, range, speed, and effectiveness scaling of the Agriculture skills.
- Confirm the current decorative-plant chance for each crop variety.
- Review the crop navigation box for newly introduced or renamed agriculture resources.
