Reagent Plant

From Shroud of the Avatar Wiki - SotA

This article needs verification. (Specific reason: The assignment of individual Eternal plants to the Citizen and Knight rewards, current mechanics shared by all three plants, and whether “Reagent Plant” ever appeared as an inventory item name need verification.)

Help verify this page. You do not need to edit anything.

See the talk page for details.

Reagent Plant is the collective name used in the legacy Backer pledge rewards for three reusable plants that produce spell reagents: the Eternal Garlic Plant, Eternal Mandrake Plant, and Eternal Nightshade Plant. It describes the reward family rather than a confirmed inventory item with that exact name.

Pledge rewards

The official pledge-expiration list awarded one Reagent Plant at the Citizen tier, an additional Reagent Plant at Knight, and all three at Lord.[1] The list does not identify which individual plant was assigned at Citizen or Knight, so those assignments should not be inferred without further evidence.

The plants were part of the early Agriculture system. The Release 25 instructions identify Garlic, Nightshade, and Mandrake as both reagent crops and Founder-era rewards for Citizen, Knight, and Lord pledges.[2]

Documented behavior

The Release 27 instructions state that pledge reward reagent plants no longer needed to be replanted and would provide at least one reagent per day.[3] Release 134 later changed Eternal seed growth times, watering requirements, reagent output, and decorative-plant chances to match regular seeds.[4] Exact current behavior should be verified on each individual plant page.

Verification needed

  • Confirm which plant was awarded at Citizen and which additional plant was awarded at Knight.
  • Confirm whether “Reagent Plant” was ever displayed as an item name or was only reward-list terminology.
  • Verify the current shared harvesting, watering, placement, and trade behavior of the three Eternal plants.
