The biome field records the scene template or broad map type used by a Player Owned Town. It describes the underlying landscape and layout independently of the town's administrative size.
Use the exact current template name when it can be confirmed from the town owner, the game, or the official Player Owned Town Templates page. The form offers common template names as suggestions but also accepts a newer or corrected value.
Because template availability and variants can change, this help page does not duplicate the complete catalog. Use Unknown rather than guessing from scenery alone.
