RELEASE 136, March 27, 2025
Release 136 went live on March 27, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. CDT. This polish release concentrated on player-dungeon construction: it added a decoratable version of the Ancient Stone Troll Room, repaired a widely used breakaway-wall hallway, improved lava-pool placement, and began standardizing collision and connection behavior across the dungeon kit. Agriculture, scene collision, quest wording, and two player-owned towns also received attention.[1]
The official launch notes contain 22 entries across crafting, interface, world, quest, town, dungeon, and basement work. This number counts published entries rather than every object changed; one dungeon entry alone covers six room pieces.[1]

The dungeon kit gets a careful hammering
R136 introduced a non-spawning, decoratable counterpart to the Troll Encounter Room. The original became Ancient Stone Troll Room with Spawns, while the new version was named Ancient Stone Troll Room. A blueprint, recipe, and conversion recipe allowed builders to move between the two versions.[1]
The decoratable room removed the original lantern and added placement surfaces on the rear stalagmite, a rock shelf, the floor, walls, and ceiling. All three sizes of player-placeable lava pool were tested in the space.[1]
Six existing pieces received placement-collision and connection-visual updates: straight false-wall and secret-door halls, the secret-door T-intersection, two Cellar Antechambers, and the standard straight stone hall. This was part of an unfinished kit-wide consistency pass rather than a claim that every dungeon room was now standardized.[1]
A less treacherous breakaway wall

The player version of the Stone Dungeon Hall with Breakaway Wall T-intersection arrived after a delay from the prior month. During its repair, seven overlapping, unwelded vertices were found in the wall mesh; the announcement states that the defect could send the renderer into an infinite loop. A texture configuration dating to 2015 had also made the hidden section unusually shiny and distorted its bricks.[1]
The same component appeared throughout adventure-zone dungeons and helped connect the continental underworld, so the texture, mesh, and memory fixes applied beyond the newly purchasable room. The team also described future plans for novice, intermediate, and expert versions of hidden mechanisms, but those difficulty variants were not part of the R136 launch.[1]
Duplicate dungeon-room identifiers and broader naming standardization were identified as continuing work. The announcement suggested those IDs might contribute to missing hammers or spawns but did not claim a confirmed count of bugs fixed.[1]
Plant anywhere, draw water, mind the stove
Immature and mature cotton bushes, coconut trees, and lemon trees could be crafted into all planting beds and pots. The Xenossian Decorative Cistern became a functional water source.[1]
Lava pools received improved levels of detail and placement behavior. Items placed on the burner of the Small Wood-Burning Stove stopped clipping into it.[1]
The fallback emote icon was optimized and stored uncompressed, the only launch-note entry in the interface and scripting section.[1]
Stone, stairs, and scattered repairs
New Britannia's water returned to its usual color after the seasonal green-water period. Stone dungeon textures in player dungeons and adventure scenes were optimized and corrected: brick proportions, mortar normal depth, and the breakaway wall's memory problem all received attention.[1]
Artifice smoothed collision across its stairs. Lamech's Bazaar and South Midmaer Way repaired a stuck spot near their airships, while North Hulenholt closed a rocky stuck spot and updated its rocks. Tanglemire adjusted collision on a large dead tree.[1]
Ardoris added the “hire” keyword to Samael and Kardan Marbane, helping players discover important quest dialogue. A Random Encounter corrected the wording of Lars Trong's “Precious Wood Duck” task.[1]
Blackblade Foothills opened part of a horse corral so its horses could wander out. Blackblade Pass repaired a seam between cave-wall pieces, and the Halls of Artifice returned several floating or clipping containers to more believable positions.[1]
James's Isle of Hope changed to the Swamp Island 01a biome, while Rajazel moved to Tropical Island 01.[1]
Chaos, eggs, and release rewards

A March 27–April 6 promotion offered a Chaos Sword with each qualifying 10,000-COTO pack and a Chaos Shield with each qualifying 6,000-COTO pack claimed in game. Both items used animated Chaos effects when equipped and continued pulsing as decorations.[1] The dates and conditions are historical, not current offers.
The fifth annual Egg Hunt was scheduled for April 12 in Mount Midir, with three one-hour sessions intended to serve different time zones.[1]

Subscribers logging in during R136 received a Spring Apple Tree, a Lepus Mask 2025, and a Small Cherry Pavilion. Every account logging in during April received an Ornate Wooden Casket.[1]

Research boundary
The official launch announcement is the completeness baseline for R136. Planned dungeon difficulty variants, naming changes, and duplicate-ID repairs are separated from the launch build. Patches released March 28, April 1, April 7, and April 12 are not folded into this article.[2]
