RELEASE 135, February 27, 2025
Release 135 went live on February 27, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. CST. It completed the player-owned-town full-water property-marker range with Keep and Castle sizes, letting governors place the game's largest water lots without relying on shoreline markers or fixed template lots. The release also expanded agricultural decoration, polished world collision and scene details, optimized dungeon textures, and fixed FMOD audio on newer Linux systems.[1]
The official launch notes contain 30 entries across crafting, interface, world, quest, town, dungeon, basement, and technical work. This number counts published entries rather than individual objects or scenes changed.[1]
At a glance
| Area | What changed |
|---|---|
| Player-owned towns | Full-water Keep and Castle markers completed the available water-lot size range, while Moonglow and Rajazel received town changes. |
| Crafting and decoration | Rose bushes gained broader planting compatibility, Verdantis merchants gained an azalea recipe, and several fixtures and recipes were corrected. |
| World polish | Spawning, stuck spots, pathing, collision, resources, markers, dialogue, and scene props were repaired across Novia. |
| Player-owned dungeons | Fifty-two textures were optimized and the secret-door T-intersection was renamed to make room for a true straight version. |
| Linux | FMOD sound was repaired for systems using glibc 2.41. |
Keep and Castle lots take to the water

R135 added the two missing sizes in the player-owned-town full-water marker range: Keep Full Water and Castle Full Water. Unlike standard water lots, which must touch a valid shoreline, full-water markers sit entirely in water and create a dock with the claim marker attached.[1]
Claiming one allows placement of homes intended for water, but these markers cannot turn into islands. That distinguishes them from older Keep and Castle water lots baked into certain POT templates, which can become islands and cannot be removed from those templates.[1]
Biome geometry still matters. The Keep marker fit the lakes in grasslands and Forest 02 biomes. It could be placed in swamps, but land intruded around the edges unless the marker sat farther out to sea. The Castle marker fit Forest 01 and snowy-mountain lakes; mountain and underground biomes likewise had land encroachment.[1]
The markers entered the in-game Crown Store at 30 COTOs each. The announcement said future POT templates would omit the fixed convertible water lots, leaving governors more flexible placement space.[1]
Flowers, livestock, and useful hardware
Housing-decoration merchants in Verdantis gained a recipe for a Hanging Potted Flowering Pink Azalea. Every color of Decorative Rose Bush could be crafted into all planting beds and pots, continuing the effort to make agricultural decorations work across planter types.[1]

Pet Merchants began selling the Animal Spawner, Cow. The Heavy Two-handed Mace Head became usable when crafting maces, correcting a component that had not worked for its intended purpose.[1]
The Baroque Fountain stopped clearing an oversized square of terrain and became placeable on daises. The Medium Lava Pool was rebuilt for testing, although the notes warned that fishing while facing north might still cause problems. The three lava-pool store entries were temporarily disabled while that work continued.[1]
Dungeon textures and a properly named secret door
Fifty-two textures used by player-dungeon pieces were optimized. This was an asset count, not a promise of a specific performance gain on every computer.[1]

The existing Stone Dungeon Hall with Secret Door (Straight) was renamed Stone Dungeon Hall with Secret Door (T Intersection) and received a new icon. The corrected name matched its actual layout and freed the “Straight” name for a genuine straight hall with a secret door.[1]
Safer paths and tidier scenes
Novia gained invisible blockers at two shoreline locations where players could otherwise spawn in the water. Bramble, Despair, and North Hulenholt had stuck spots closed, while uneven waterfront stairs in Xenos stopped blocking travel.[1]
East Sanctus Forest reshaped terrain in Krampusgarten and regenerated its path grid to help NPC movement. The Halls of Artifice pulled a spike-trap damage volume back inside its containing walls. Kas Ruins corrected a compass marker at the Kas Vault entrance, and Libris Ruins removed a duplicate LOD registration.[1]
Resource and prop repairs included an accessible mandrake node in Nightshade Pass, an iron node reset in Etceter Crag Mine, torches moved out of rocks in Far Hinterlands, and a small tree removed from inside a South Celestial Wetlands boulder. Solace Bridge Outskirts removed a bad character from children's dialogue about Bloody Bones.[1]
The night-sky images used with and without an astrolabe or moondial were optimized. The launch notes also scheduled the Envy Angel to go dormant and the Arch Lapin to return on March 16, after the launch-day cutoff.[1]
Town and platform changes
Moonglow was upgraded to Hamlet. Rajazel moved to the shore east of Soltown and changed to an island town.[1]
On Linux, FMOD audio was fixed for systems using glibc 2.41.[1] This technical entry was small in count but important for players whose operating-system update had outpaced the game's sound compatibility.
Rewards and release events
Subscribers logging in during R135 received a choose-one Xenossian Floral Hedged Plinth, an Ornate Hanging Potted Flowering Pink Azalea, and a Brown Donkey Decoration Pet. Every account logging in during March received a Potted Flowering Pink Azalea Bush.[1]
The post-release community livestream was scheduled for March 7. The announcement also documented a sale through March 7 and several staggered Crown Store additions.[1] Those dates and offers are historical rather than current availability.
What returning players should know
- POT governors can place full-water Keep and Castle lots, subject to biome geometry.
- Full-water markers create docks but cannot become islands.
- The three lava-pool store entries were temporarily disabled at launch.
- The older “Straight” secret-door hall was actually a T-intersection and was renamed accordingly.
- Rajazel moved east of Soltown and became an island town.
- Linux systems using glibc 2.41 received an FMOD sound fix.
