RELEASE 133, December 19, 2024
Release 133 went live on December 19, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. CST, closing the game's eleventh year of monthly development. The polish release added a decidedly practical pair of craftable bathroom decorations, improved item names and icons, repaired decoration surfaces in two large homes, and cleaned up quest state in Grusk. Snow returned across New Britannia, while one seasonal encounter was scheduled for the following month.[1]
The official launch notes contain 23 entries across crafting, interface, world, quest, and player-owned-town work. This number counts published entries rather than every object or correction contained within them.[1]
At a glance
| Area | What changed |

Eleven years, with indoor plumbing

R133 marked the completion of 133 monthly updates and the end of SotA's eleventh development year. Its most memorable crafting addition was also one of its most grounded: Carpenters everywhere began selling recipes for a Rustic Toilet and Bathroom Paper Holder.[1] Sanitation, as the announcement observed, knows no borders.
The Lord of the Manor Keep City Home and Viking Great Hall City Home each had a wall corrected so it could accept decorations. Gingerbread figures on 2022 Yule trees were repaired, and Dragon Neck Bones gained the proper level-of-detail distance.[1]
Monthly Fishing Contest Cloaks from 2023 and 2024 lost their glow power. The names of Piece of Pumpkin Pie recipes and finished items were brought into agreement, as were Ancient Xenossian Plumed Plate Helm patterns and their associated items.[1]
Pieces of decrepit treasure maps became stackable in inventory and displayed a white crafting highlight at the alchemy table. For treasure hunters with a pile of scraps, this was a small change with an immediately tidier result.[1]
Clearer icons and instructions
The Polar Bear Skin Rug, Carnal Vile Shield, and Holly Wreath with Candles Hat received new icons. The Royal Orb gained a usage description.[1]
These four changes formed the entire interface and store-information section. They did not introduce a new interface system, but made existing possessions easier to recognize or understand.
Snow and safer boundaries
Snow returned for the winter season. The launch notes also scheduled the Envy Angel and her devotees to return to their cottage on January 16, after the R133 launch date.[1]
Novia gained a boulder south of Brittany. Blood Bay fitted a crate with more form-fitting collision, while Blood River Forest closed two terrain holes that allowed players to leave the playable area. Central Brittany removed a duplicate house.[1]
Brittany Alleys consolidated its town-crier situation: Polly Walnuts took a break, Ian Bell left, and Jada Hroth remained the official crier in Watchers' Plaza. The factory interiors were also closed to access.[1]
Grusk ties off loose quests
Grusk improved the logic for clearing the Confront Abtreek task. Players still carrying the task could greet Abtreek or Grukis the Blacksmith to archive it.[1]
Korrel's letter began disappearing as intended when the Lost Disambiguator quest concluded. Players who still had the obsolete letter could speak with Grukis or Abtreek to remove it. The journal entry for Accept Payoff or Tell Blacksmith also received typo and clarity fixes.[1]
These repairs are useful examples of quest maintenance aimed not only at new playthroughs but also at characters carrying older, inconsistent state.
A teleporter removed from Arx Draconis Lowlands
Arx Draconis Lowlands had a developer-placed teleporter to Arx Draconis Annex removed.[1] This was R133's only player-owned-town patch-note entry.
Secret doors and anniversary curiosities

Subscribers logging in during R133 received a Winter Apple Tree, a Stone Dungeon Hall with Secret Door (Straight), and two each of Potions of Growth, Diminutive Stature, Enhanced Upward Acceleration, and Disco Fever.[1] The hallway's display name was later corrected when its true T-intersection layout was documented in Release 135.
Every account logging in during January received three Gothic Wall Candles. New launch-day store entries included a teleport-cross hallway, a false-wall hallway, and the three-floor Chicken Room.[1] Those store listings are release history rather than current availability.

The anniversary promotion offered a Baroque Fountain with a qualifying 10,000-COTO pack and a Baroque Table Clock with a qualifying 6,000-COTO pack. COTOs had to be claimed in game by January 2, with delivery promised by the end of the release period.[1]
The post-release community livestream was scheduled for December 20. A Yule sale and double-experience period were announced through January 2.[1]

Research boundary
The official launch announcement is the completeness baseline for R133. The January 16 seasonal encounter is labeled as future-dated, and the January 3 patch that ended sales and double experience is not folded into this launch article.[2]
