This article needs verification. (Specific reason: Confirm the current maximum-Health calculation, the contribution of Adventure Level and Strength, in- and out-of-combat regeneration rules, and the behavior of temporary maximum-Health changes.)
Help verify this page. You do not need to edit anything.
See the talk page for details.
Health measures the Avatar's current vitality. Damage lowers current Health; healing restores it up to the current maximum. When Health reaches zero, the Avatar dies and enters the workflow described at Death and Resurrection.
This page covers the resource itself. For item, food, skill, and other effects that modify it, see Health.
Current and maximum Health
Current Health is the amount remaining after damage and healing. Maximum Health is the upper limit shown for the character. Character progression, attributes, equipment, consumables, blessings, skills, and temporary effects can contribute to the displayed maximum, but the exact current calculation remains under verification.
An effect that raises maximum Health does not necessarily describe how much current Health is immediately restored. Check the combat log, resource bar, and effect tooltip when comparing maximum-Health bonuses with direct healing.
Restoring Health
Health can be restored by direct healing, regeneration, consumables, and other effects. Healing Modifier can alter certain healing and regeneration results. Catnip's current consumables guide distinguishes instant Health potions from foods that provide regeneration or maximum-Health bonuses.[1]
