Short range life drain spell that becomes more powerful the closer the caster is to death. Death Specialization adds a chance to apply a -5 Death Resistance debuff to the target. This can stack up to 3 times.

Death Touch is a short-range life-drain spell. It deals Death Damage and can return health to its caster, with a larger effect as the caster approaches death. Drain healing does not work against undead or inanimate targets.

• 3 - 4 Death Damage× √(Death Touch level / 40 + intelligence / 40) (estimate)
  +0.1% per Death Mastery level
• -5 Death Resistance for 30 secondsOnly shown with Death Magic Specialization

• Increasing Death Touch level raises the focus cost, but lowers the fizzle chance.
• Death Attunement affects the damage.
• Stacking and charging glyphs improve the focus cost, damage, and death resistance debuff and duration.

The Death Resistance rider recorded above was specialization-gated in the shipping behavior examined during the 2026 Death Magic review. A proposed replacement that works for every Death mage is not treated here as live until it reaches the game.
