FXStop is a player-created Lua add-on that lets a player hide selected spell visual effects on their own client. It changes only local rendering: the spell still functions normally, and other players continue to see its effects.[1]
Getting started
- Install FXStop and its required SotA Event System (SES) dependency through
/addons. - Enable Run for both packages. Newly installed add-ons begin disabled.[2]
- Open the FXStop panel from its tray control and switch off the effects you do not want rendered.
- Use
/fxstop helpto see the installed version's commands.
Version 0.14.6 offers controls for Lightning Storm, Ring of Fire, Meteor Storm, Ice Field, Cone of Cold, Solar Flare, Earthquake, Soothing Rain, Unicorn Rainbow, Nightmare Flame, and Fireball. Available commands include list, stop, allow, and debug.[1]
Settings are saved locally. The package requests no Internet permission.
