Update of the Avatar #41 – 2013.09.27: Magic Sigil, Collector's Coin, Crafting Stations, and Scene Jam Winner
Update 41 revealed the Magic Sigil, selected the winner of the first Unity Scene Jam, showed an early physical collector's coin, and documented work on the game's crafting stations. It also announced public availability of Portalarium's combined Dungeon and Cave Kit and pointed readers to an expanded official FAQ.[1]
First Scene Jam results
The first challenge asked participants to build ruins surrounding a Lunar Rift on elevated terrain. Portalarium reported 48 submissions and selected Richard Matey's scene as the winner. Charles Howell and Mark A. Barros placed second as a team, with Melchior Meijer third; the latter placements also received pledge credit.[1]
Magic Sigil and collector's coin

The Magic Sigil arranged eight elemental schools—Fire, Air, Water, Earth, Sun, Moon, Life, and Death—around Chaos. The update showed Stephen Daniele's design rendered on parchment, cloth, and stone and explained that the symbol would recur in several physical forms.[1]
A separate design collaboration among community members and Portalarium grew into the physical Official Collector's Coin included with the Early Founder Collector pledge tier and above.[1]

Crafting stations and asset kit
The issue previewed work-in-progress milling, woodworking, butchering, alchemy, cooking, smelting, blacksmithing, tanning and dyeing stations. Spinning, weaving, and tailoring were identified as the final three of eleven planned stations. Their surfaces needed to leave room for recipe tools, ingredients, and results while still visually communicating each craft.[1]

Portalarium also announced that its combined Dungeon and Cave Kit had entered the Unity Asset Store with more than 200 modular pieces built around an eight-meter grid. The historical post described it as suitable for both crypt-like construction and natural caves.[1]
