Update of the Avatar #39 – 2013.09.13: Knight's Home, Village Property Deeds, and Unity Scene Jam
Update 39 continued the early “Parade of Homes” with the Founder Knight Village Home, announced a limited Add-On Store offering of Village Lot Property Deeds, and published the schedule and rules for four Unity scene-building contests.[1]
Founder Knight Village Home

The Founder Knight home was a two-story village-lot house with a second-floor bedroom and loft plus a split-level roof deck. The update compared its exterior, footprint, and floor plans with the Viking Village Home and Shingle-Roof Village Home. A corresponding Benefactor design was promised for a later issue.[1]

Village property deeds
Portalarium placed 200 Village Lot Property Deeds in the Add-On Store at an introductory price. The historical offering included a Shingle-Roof Village Home and described village lots as 20 by 30 meters.[1]
The post also explained the announced placement priority and tax rules: store-bought deeds were taxable in game, while the deed included with Citizen and higher pledge tiers was tax-exempt. All of these terms are recorded as a 2013 announcement rather than a statement of current mechanics.[1]

Unity Scene Jam
The first 48-hour scene jam was scheduled to begin September 20, followed by three more on alternating weekends. Participants would receive a secret scene brief and submit a Unity package by Sunday evening. The team planned to judge quality, creativity, fidelity to the prompt, and suitability for Shroud of the Avatar.[1]
Teams could participate, and entrants could use supplied, custom, or licensable third-party assets under the announced rules. Weekly winners were offered a Knight pledge and merchandise; the overall winner was offered a package including a Baron pledge, Unity Pro, UnityVS, an Oculus Rift development kit, and computer accessories.[1]
