RELEASE 131, October 31, 2024
Release 131 went live on October 31, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. CDT. The year's final content release expanded the player-dungeon toolkit with the first wave of cellar-derived rooms, added seasonal decorations and a craftable Hanging Potted Dead Ivy, and delivered a broad round of collision, quest, and scene repairs. It also set dates for the changing of New Britannia's seasonal monsters.[1]
The official launch notes contain 33 entries across crafting, world, player-owned-town, and player-dungeon work. This number counts published entries rather than every object, scene, or correction contained within them.[1]

The dungeon kit goes underground

R131 began a broader revamp of the player-dungeon kit. Seven rooms adapted from basements and adventure spaces were announced, using new kit components intended to reduce unwanted rock protrusions and empty space. Several omitted the usual hallway stubs, allowing tighter transitions and less obvious room boundaries; builders still needed connecting hallways where close placements would otherwise overlap.[1]
Availability was staggered. At launch, booksellers carried blueprints and recipes for two rooms:
- Stone Dungeon Room – Cellar Antechamber [1 Floor] (2×1) – 2 Conn
- Stone Dungeon Room – Cellar Antechamber [1 Floor] (3×1) – 2 Conn
The Crown Store carried the Stone Dungeon Room – City Lot Arena [1 Floor] (4×5) – 3 Conn.[1]

Four other announced rooms were explicitly left for an upcoming patch: the bookseller Row Lot and Village Lot cellars, the two-floor Village Lot Cellar found in Brittany Sewers, and the Crown Store's one-floor City Lot Cellar. Build 1743 enabled those rooms on November 5.[2]
Existing spaces were not forgotten. The Pristine Spider Room became properly pristine, and the City Arena Basement prison cells gained another escape route.[1]
Autumn decorations and item repairs
Housing decoration merchants in Verdantis began selling the recipe for a Hanging Potted Dead Ivy. Two daily Castle Atos quest rewards gained seasonal decoration pieces, while slices of pumpkin pie could be scaled smaller than before.[1]
Iron wall lamps received another attempted repair, and a placed craftable flute had its mesh corrected. A world pickup was renamed as an arrow bundle and made non-stackable, preventing multiple bundles from disappearing when one was broken down. The special contents of the R106 login-reward bundle could no longer be packaged for trade.[1]
Seasonal creatures change shifts
Pumpkin Head finished terrorizing Drachvald for the year. The launch notes scheduled Krampus to return to East Sanctus Forest and some Snowy Mountain Road encounters on November 16. They also scheduled the aether creatures to hibernate on November 27 after the comet's departure.[1]
These were dated plans published with R131, not encounters active on October 31. The later aether-creature transition was recorded again when Release 132 launched.
Safer paths and tidier scenes
R131 spread repairs across much of the world. Several large dead trees in Brittany Fields, Spindelskog, and Tanglemire gained colliders to prevent climbing. Stuck spots were cleared in Etceter and Perennial Trail, while collision was improved around Penmawr Island rocks, a Sirens Foothills statue, and a South Broken Road wall that had blocked ore nodes.[1]
The Sirens Foothills also repaired a destructible crate. Tenebris Harbor's floating shipyard walls came back to earth, Vertas closed a scene escape at its South Exit, and Yew corrected overlapping surfaces on a raised platform. Smaller visual repairs aligned a Central Brittany skeleton's effects with its model, removed an erroneous scaffold in Etceter Crag Mines, and moved a lantern off an operable chest in Mud.[1]
Ulfheim received three practical corrections: duplicate entrance listings were suppressed, humans in Grand Hall wolf waves stopped receiving the label “Mistreated Wolf,” and an upper-village ladder no longer teleported travelers beneath the world. Solace Bridge Outskirts improved completion logic for Seek Private Garridon. Northwood, Owl's Head, and Vikland received hedge, memorial, and dialog updates.[1]
Cassiopeia grows
The player-owned town Cassiopeia was upgraded from Hamlet to Village.[1] It was the sole player-owned-town entry in the launch notes.
Rewards and autumn offerings

Subscribers logging in during R131 received a Fall Apple Tree, three Ornate Hanging Potted Dead Ivys, and an Animal Spawner, Banded Turkey with Barley. Each account logging in during November received a Tabletop Dead Oak Tree.[1]
Launch-day Crown Store additions ranged from the Green Potion Cauldron and orange paper lantern strings to dead-oak scenery, turkey spawners, a public-cache kobold body, and the City Lot Arena dungeon room. Several other items were dated for November 1, November 8, or an upcoming patch rather than launch day.[1] These listings record the release period and do not imply current availability.
The November 1 post-release livestream used “snacks or thwacks!” as its in-game prize phrase. A harvest sale was announced from October 30 through November 8.[1]

Research boundary
The official launch announcement is the completeness baseline for R131. Build 1743 on November 5 enabled four delayed dungeon rooms and made additional corrections; build 1745 on November 9 added more fixes and ended promotions. Those later changes are identified where necessary but are not counted as launch content.[2]
