RELEASE 130, September 26, 2024
Release 130 went live on September 26, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. CDT. The quality-of-life release introduced craftable bucket hats and three new decoration recipes, improved quests and traversal across more than twenty scenes, added a first basement-derived player-dungeon room, and expanded New Britannia's squirrel population. It also commemorated Mojito, a longtime canine mascot of the game and familiar Owl's Head resident.[1]
The official launch notes contain 40 entries across crafting, interface, world, quest, and player-owned-town work. This number counts published entries rather than every object or correction contained within them.[1]

Bucket hats, fishing gear, and new recipes

Tailors in Ardoris and Brittany Estates began selling a recipe for the Bucket Hat. Its basic shape also supported a Fancy Bucket Hat and the limited Medic's Fishing Hat, a tribute to the fishing hat worn by Lt. Col. Blake in the television series M*A*S*H. The Medic's version carried a tartan band, fishing flies, an oak cluster, and a healing bonus. A matching military-green Medic's Fishing Rod completed the set.[1]
The Medic items were a purchase bonus tied to a 10,750-COTO pack claimed between September 26 and October 4, rather than ordinary loot or recipes. This is release history, not an indication of current availability.[1]
Housing decoration merchants in Verdantis gained the Hanging Potted Red Ivy recipe, while Hidden Vale merchants gained the Coal Pile recipe. Pet merchants added an Animal Spawner, Squirrel with Pine Cone. The Ruined Stone Arch could be scaled smaller, Lord British's Brutal Battle-Axe became repairable with carpentry repair kits, and texture settings were improved on three elven elite armor sets.[1]
Other inventory work removed inappropriate repair options from four drinks or mugs and adjusted valid crafting-station flags for several stools. Crown Store descriptions for dungeon entrance packs were clarified, and spelling was corrected in Obsidian Potion listings.[1]
Remembering Mojito

Mojito, the Spears family's dog and a familiar guest on Shroud of the Avatar livestreams, died on September 6. His in-game counterpart had long guarded the bridge leading into Owl's Head.[1]
R130 placed a memorial to Mojito in Brittany Graveyard. Every account logging in during October received a Mini Marble Mojito Memorial, and larger versions were offered through the Crown Store. The September 27 post-release livestream used “a toast to Mojito” as its prize phrase.[1]
A basement becomes a dungeon room

R130's subscriber rewards included the first basement space converted into a player-dungeon piece: the Stone Dungeon Room Town Lot Cellar 1 Story (3×3).[1] This experiment led directly into the larger cellar-room expansion documented in Release 131.
The other subscriber rewards were an Animal Spawner, Giant Grey Squirrel with Pine Cone and a Dark Gothic Stand.[1]
World repairs from wells to wolves
Many of R130's changes removed places where players or resources could become trapped. Blood River Outskirts, Brittany Wharfs, and Mistrendur had stuck spots blocked or repaired. Highvale Outskirts closed an escape from the play area and reshaped collision around low-tier ore nodes. South Drachvald Spur adjusted resource nodes so they would reliably respawn, while Tanglemire improved water-elemental spawning to keep the creatures out of the ground.[1]
Brittany Fields made the depth behavior of Well's Pond consistent, improving predictability for swimming and fishing.
Scene polish included snowy visuals around Troll's Bridge on Novia, grounded furnishings in Brittany Wharfs and The Epitaph, repaired overlapping walls in Midras Ruins, and corrected rock-wall collision in the Well of Aldur. Graff Island chimneys gained collision, an Ulfheim altar returned to the ground, and Westend's boardwalk fountain lost theft protection.[1]
Quest and journal cleanup
The Amulet of Testimony quest from Valhold's town crier was corrected so it would be offered only once. The amulet became destroyable, and players needing a replacement could ask the crier about “amulet.”[1]
The Inventory Tutorial improved completion logic for Say Harvest to Automaton. Highvale Outskirts adjusted Huntsman Sven's copper-golem dialog and journal entry, while Solace Bridge Outskirts updated Kinsey's references to missing guards. The final Episode 1 journal entry at the Oracle Temple replaced outdated company information.[1]
Additional text and logic fixes touched Brittany Estates responses, Brunhild Johnson on Graff Island, Miloslava in The Outlaws' Run, the Mention Caravan to Jenkins entry in Port Harmony, and Ashton's claims about disease-curing potions in Soltown. A Naughty Brat chest could no longer supply repeated Handcrafted Black King Chess Pieces to the same questing player.[1]
Player-owned towns
Meadowbrook was upgraded to Town. Persephone's Throne, a new Metropolis, was added atop the “snake's head” area of Slangehodde in Mistrendur.[1]
