A lot is a marked area of land or water in a town that can be claimed with a compatible Lot Deed. Its Property Marker identifies the lot and opens the interface used to inspect or manage it.

Traditional lot tiers

The six traditional tiers are:

• Row lot
• Village lot
• Town lot
• City lot
• Keep lot
• Castle lot

Official housing documentation describes these tiers as progressively larger, with a home able to fit on a larger lot when it fits the smaller tier. Market Lot was added later as a smaller commercial lot type.

Using a lot

Claim rules depend on deed size, town restriction, tax status, and land or water compatibility. Claimed lots may support a home, decorations, basement, and player dungeon, subject to the lot type and current placement limits.
