Help:WikiMinder Renown and ranks
More actions
Renown is the wiki's thanks for answers that help keep it current. It earns ranks, and it puts you on the leaderboards. Renown is recognition only: it never makes your answers count more, and it is never needed to take part. See also: Help:WikiMinder.
Earning Renown edit
| You | Renown |
|---|---|
| Make a useful verification: your answer set or changed a page's status (for example, it was the first or second check) | +1 |
| Have your verification confirmed later by someone else | +1 |
| Report a change that someone then fixes on the page | +1 |
| Report a change with the right new value (What is it now?), which then goes on the page | +3, instead of the +1 above |
| Help a campaign reach a milestone or its goal | set by the campaign |
What does not earn Renown:
- answering about a page you edited yourself;
- confirming a page that is already community verified, unless your check changes its status;
- answering the same page twice in one release;
- Not sure answers (they still help: the task moves on to someone else).
There is a daily limit on Renown for verifications (20 a day by default). After it, your answers still count towards page statuses; only the Renown stops until the next day (UTC).
If moderators remove an answer, the Renown it earned is taken back. Everything is recorded, so your total can always be explained.
You can see every Renown entry you have earned, with the reason, on Special:MyRenown.
Ranks edit
| Rank | Renown |
|---|---|
| Wanderer | 0 |
| Scribe | 10 |
| Chronicler | 50 |
| Lorekeeper | 150 |
| Sage of Novia | 400 |
Titles edit
Some achievements grant a title, such as Eagle Eye or Veteran. Choose which one to display on Special:MyRenown. It appears next to your name on the leaderboards, on your profile and on your badge.
Leaderboards edit
Special:Leaderboards ranks contributors by Renown:
- All time;
- This season, which starts over with each game release. Past seasons are kept in the hall of fame;
- By topic, such as items or NPCs;
- by campaign, while a campaign runs and after it ends.
Ties go to whoever got there first. Leaderboards count useful answers, never clicks or edits.

Your profile edit
Everyone who earns Renown has a public profile at Special:Contributor/your name, showing your rank, Renown, title, achievements and the achievements you chose to show off (pick up to three on Special:MyRenown).
