This page explains what WikiMinder shows about you, and how to keep it to yourself. See also: Help:WikiMinder.
What others can see edit
- On pages: the verification status, how many different people checked the page, and when. Never who answered.
- On your profile, badge and the leaderboards: your Renown, rank, title, achievements, and how many pages and facts you checked. Not which pages, and not your answers.
- Your notes (What is it now? and other notes) are seen by moderators and the editors who fix pages, not by the public.
- As always on a wiki, edits you make are public in the page history. WikiMinder doesn't change that.
Staying private edit
On Special:MyRenown, untick Show me on leaderboards and my public profile. Then:
- you disappear from every leaderboard, including past seasons and campaigns;
- your profile says it is private;
- your badge and forum signature show nothing about you;
- your answers still count for pages exactly as before. Only the recognition is hidden.
You can switch it back on at any time.
Forum signatures edit
The signature picture is off until you turn it on. Its address contains a random code, not your name. People who see it on a forum load it from this wiki, like any picture on the web, so the wiki's server sees their address. WikiMinder adds no cookies or tracking to it. Turning the signature off makes any old copies show only a plain banner for the wiki.
What is kept edit
Your answers and the Renown they earned are kept, so that page statuses and totals can always be explained and checked. Nothing is deleted automatically. Moderators can remove answers (they then stop counting), but the record stays.
To have your notes erased and your recognition hidden for good, ask an administrator. They will blank every note you wrote, make your recognition private, turn off your forum signature, and unlink your game account. If you ask, your answers can also stop counting. A record that you answered stays, so the history of each page still adds up.
WikiMinder never asks for your game password.
