Template:SotA official image/doc

Purpose

This license template records the description, source, author, and optional image collections for an official image related to Shroud of the Avatar. Place it on the image's File page only when its official provenance has been established.

Parameters

Parameter	Required	Explanation
description	Recommended	Description of what the image shows. The value is displayed and stored in both Has description and Has caption. If omitted, the template displays a request to add a description.
source	No	Original source of the image. Defaults to [[Shroud of the Avatar]] official image; a direct source URL should be supplied when known.
author	No	Creator or credited author. Defaults to [[Portalarium]]. Override the default when the official source credits another creator or rights holder.
collection	No	One or more image-collection names. Separate multiple values with semicolons. Each value is converted to lowercase and stored in Has image collection for collection galleries.

Collection behavior

The collection parameter connects a file to pages using Template:Gallery. Use stable subject names rather than descriptive prose.

Licensing note

The template labels the image as fair use and displays its existing rationale. Official provenance does not automatically make an image freely licensed. Editors remain responsible for documenting the original source and ensuring that each use is contextually appropriate.
