It is believed that this image, used appropriately to enhance the content of articles by illustrating their subject, qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law.

Purpose

This license template records the description, source, author, and optional image collections for an official image related to Shroud of the Avatar. Place it on the image's File page only when its official provenance has been established.

Usage

{{SotA official image
|description=
|source=
|author=
|collection=
}}

Parameters

Parameter	Required	Explanation
`description`	Recommended	Description of what the image shows. The value is displayed and stored in both `Has description` and `Has caption`. If omitted, the template displays a request to add a description.
`source`	No	Original source of the image. Defaults to `[[Shroud of the Avatar]] official image`; a direct source URL should be supplied when known.
`author`	No	Creator or credited author. Defaults to `[[Portalarium]]`. Override the default when the official source credits another creator or rights holder.
`collection`	No	One or more image-collection names. Separate multiple values with semicolons. Each value is converted to lowercase and stored in `Has image collection` for collection galleries.

Collection behavior

The collection parameter connects a file to pages using Template:Gallery. Use stable subject names rather than descriptive prose.

{{SotA official image
|description=Official concept image of an example subject.
|source=Direct official source URL
|author=Credited creator
|collection=Example subject;Concept art
}}

Licensing note

The template labels the image as fair use and displays its existing rationale. Official provenance does not automatically make an image freely licensed. Editors remain responsible for documenting the original source and ensuring that each use is contextually appropriate.

The example is not rendered here because doing so would assign description and collection properties to the documentation page.
