Noble's Magical Discourse Orb is a legacy Lord pledge reward that grants access to a private Nobles chat channel. The reward was announced in 2014 as a way for Lord-and-above pledge holders to converse with each other and participating game developers.[1]
History and function
The Orb became functional with Release 24 in November 2015. The release instructions describe the channel as including Lord-and-above pledge holders and all developers.[2]
The channel has historically been called both “Nobility chat” and “Nobles Chat.” Release 30 notes record a fix that restored the chat channel for Orb holders, confirming that access depended on possession of the item at that time.[3]
The item originally had inventory weight. Release 110 removed that weight in January 2023.[4]
Acquisition
The Orb was included among the Benefactor rewards at the Lord pledge tier. Because higher pledge tiers inherited lower-tier rewards, it also appears on the reward lists for Baron, Duke, and Lord of the Manor backers. The official 2016 pledge-expiration list identifies it as a Lord-tier Benefactor reward.[5]
Verification needed
- Confirm the current command or interface used to join and speak in Nobles chat.
- Confirm which accounts or pledge tiers currently receive channel access and whether developers still participate by default.
- Check whether the Orb must remain in inventory, can be stored or placed, and has any function in offline mode.
- Record its current value, trade status, and exact inventory icon.
