Edvard the Wanderer is a key quest NPC at the boat launch in the Battle of Solace Bridge. He helps conclude the starting scene and directs new Avatars toward Solace Bridge Outskirts.
Release 67 moved Edvard exclusively to the boat launch and removed the earlier requirement to escort him across the bridge.[1] He therefore serves as the tutorial's final guide rather than a traveling escort—despite retaining the well-earned name “the Wanderer.”

Quest role
Edvard is encountered after the Avatar crosses the ruined settlement and reaches the boat landing. His conversation transitions the player from the one-time Battle of Solace Bridge scene to Solace Bridge Outskirts.
Release 50 added a task in which Edvard directs the player to Private Garridon in the Outskirts.[2] Release 113 later updated his dialogue and associated journals to mention the free row lot deed available after completing Captain Kinsey's tasks.[3]
