Timers, alerts, and troubleshooting
Timers
Open /ocx timers. Each timer can count down from a slider-selected duration or act as a stopwatch. Its title is editable, a cooldown sweep covers the icon, and completion is reported even when the main Timers window is closed.
Mini moves a timer into a compact icon-and-time window. All three mini-windows may be open together, subject to the add-on's eight-window limit. Select a mini icon to bring back the main Timers window. Timer names and open mini-window state persist.
Pop-ups and lists
Settings controls online notifications and three filters: everyone, only names on the announce list, or everyone except the hide list. It also edits chat keyword alerts and loot auto-track patterns; * is a wildcard. Commas are not accepted because entries are stored as a comma-separated list. Use Move popup to expose its grip, and use Test popup before waiting for a real event.
Saved data and migration
OCX saves configuration and tracker data locally in files named ocx-*.dat or related OCX files in the Lua folder. Version 3.0.1 corrected an earlier package path and copies available 3.0.0 data forward. Version 3.0 also carries forward older harvest, kills, loot, daily, farming, and XP information.[2]
Back up those files after logging out. Unlike catalog-managed saved variables, deleting OCX data files can erase tracker history.
Troubleshooting
- If no window opens, try its exact
/ocx <name>command and check the eight-window message. - If Timers, Tracking, Combat, or Settings fails with a
justifyContentstyle error, update to OCX Tools 3.0.5 or later; 3.0.5 corrected that packaging issue. - If the launcher is missing, press
Left Ctrl+Left Shift+F12or use Settings → Reset icon position. - If a window was just closed, wait briefly before reopening it.
- If a tracker stops receiving English log messages, relog as recommended by the bundled known issues.
- If character identity is wrong after returning to the menu, fully log out and back in.
- Use
/lua checkfor package problems. OCX has no dependencies and requests no Internet permission.
When asking in the support thread, include the installed OCX version, the affected window or tab, client language, and whether a relog restores tracking.
