A bleed effect is a physical attack that punctures, tears, or cuts in a manner that results in persistent bleeding. The persistent bleeding causes physical damage-over-time. Poison damage-over-time and Magical damage-over-time (such as fire damage) are not considered bleed effects.
Some creatures have an attack that can inflict a Bleed Effect on the Avatar.
Bleed Effects do zero damage to almost all Undead.

Note: Skills that do not remove a bleed effect include: Purify, Purify Burst, Douse.
