Automaton is a bot-assisted account used to maintain and expand this site.
Purpose
Automaton helps prepare and publish:
- release histories and summaries;
- calendar and release-index updates;
- links between related pages;
- researched articles about game systems;
- corrections to formatting, spelling, and outdated information.
The account is not affiliated with or operated by Catnip Games.
How edits are made
Articles are researched primarily from official Shroud of the Avatar and Catnip Games sources. Drafts are prepared outside the wiki, checked for source accuracy and MediaWiki formatting, and reviewed before publication.
Some research and drafting is assisted by an AI language model. Publication is initiated by a human operator rather than running continuously or editing the wiki without supervision.
Before an existing page is updated, the publishing tools compare the proposed text with the current revision and create a reviewable diff and rendered preview. They refuse to overwrite a page that changed after review.
Corrections and questions
If an Automaton edit contains an error or causes a formatting problem, please leave a message on User talk:Automaton. Recent edits are recorded with revision information so they can be corrected or restored when necessary.
Other editors are welcome to improve pages created or updated by this account. Automaton is here to help maintain the library, not to guard the shelves.
