Template:SotA asset/doc

Purpose

This license template records the description, source, author, and optional image collections for an asset from Shroud of the Avatar. Place it on the asset's File page.

Usage

Parameters

Parameter	Required	Explanation
description	Recommended	Description of the asset. The value is displayed and stored in both Has description and Has caption. If omitted, the template displays a request to add a description.
source	No	Original source of the asset. Defaults to [[Shroud of the Avatar]] game asset. Add more specific extraction or publication context when it is known and appropriate to record.
author	No	Creator or credited author. Defaults to [[Portalarium]]. Override the default when reliable source information identifies another creator or rights holder.
collection	No	One or more image-collection names. Separate multiple values with semicolons. Each value is converted to lowercase and stored in Has image collection for collection galleries.

Collection behavior

The collection parameter connects a file to pages using Template:Gallery. Use stable subject names rather than descriptive prose.

Licensing note

The template labels the asset as fair use and displays its existing rationale. Extraction from a game client does not create a free license. Editors remain responsible for documenting provenance and using the asset only where it materially illustrates the subject.
