[000000]TO ALL GOOD MEN AND WOMEN OF THE LONGFALL VALLEY WHO CAN WIELD A BLADE!
As the saying goes, the wolf cannot change the color of its fur. You have always known the day would come, the thirst for power and blood for which we know all of those elves are plagued has just resurfaced. I have been given a letter by courier that tells me that the most brutal of elf warriors invaded a peaceful farming village north of Temple Pass and killed over 50 people. Others have confirmed this figure. Most of the victims were helpless women and children.
The situation in our home is very critical. Those trying to force us to live in a phony peace know that they doom all of us to fall beneath elven arrows. There is no living in peace with monsters, no treaty with animals. Trying to satisfy a tyrant will make you a slave. We learned this lesson from the Obsidians, did we not?
There is a village that has grown within sight of our own homes, along the bridge over the Blood River. Do not forget what these beasts are. [000000]They are the ones who killed your children, who slew your soldiers, they are the ones who are killing babies in Resolute, Aerie, Celestis, Ardoris, everywhere!
Tonight, it is time for man to fight against beast. Tonight, good men and women, draw your sword, steel your heart, and slay the beasts in their very lair. Protect your own children against the animals who grow in their nest, so close to our homes. For if we do not, they surely will, with your own children, your own wives, your own husbands. They are of an unequalled viciousness, beyond human comprehension. There is no way to describe them. They are predators among predators.
Arise, good folks, arise and do your duty for your home! The mustering point is at the merchant crossroads west of the settlement, just before sundown. Bring whatever weapons you can. Be swift, and be resolute, and be without mercy, for your enemy has none.
Prune the tall trees. I say again, it is time to prune the tall trees. Tonight. Tonight is the night to christen the Blood River. [000000]- Free Man
