A crafting Eternal Pattern is an appearance pattern which can be applied to an item of the type indicated in the pattern so that item will appear 'just like' other items of the pattern name. The characteristics of the item are not modfied in the least, it simply appears differently when equipped by the character. An Eternal Pattern differs from a 'standard' Pattern in that when you salvage an item created with an Eternal Pattern, you will ALWAYS get that same Eternal Pattern back.
