Compendium of Pain and Suffering
Template:Infobox Location Template:Infobox Compendium of Pain and Suffering is a Tier 7 Adventuring Area.
The Compendium of Pain and Suffering (previously called Chillblain's Compendium of Pain and Suffering) is a dungeon with a series of progressively more difficult battles that occur as you progress from room to room. Players can access the dungeon from a magical portal in Braemar (which is in the cemetery).
In each battle room, there is a circle of torches. To start the battle, all members of the party must be within the circle of torches. Creatures that you will battle include wolves, bears, skeletons, Kobolds, Elementals, and liches.
Unique Loot in This Zone
- Swept Guard Rapier - this weapon does not have any special effects and it is not an artifact; however, this is one of the few zones where you can obtain it (it drops as loot only from the Hardened Elf Fighters in one of the later rooms). So, Compendium is a good place to come if you collect weapon types or if you want a pattern for this weapon (although the Swept Guard Rapier can also be found in Tartarus and Superstition Canyon).

- The Challenge Dungeon: This dungeon is now up and running and it is living up to its name by presenting quite a challenge near the end. It can be accessed in Braemar at the default starting point for new players. This dungeon will give us extremely valuable testing data for improving our AI and the PVE experience. Rumor has it that this dungeon may be the path to Lich Mountain![1]
