Template:Under Construction

Template:Infobox Item Eternal Pattern are modifications to Armor, Weapon and Cloak Slot items, that allows the item to have a different, modified look.

To apply a pattern, you will need to be at the appropriate Crafting Station for the specific item to be modified. At the Crafting Station, select the Modifications category, and then select the appropriate Reshape recipe that is for the specific item type.

  • Cloth and Leather Armor can be modified at a Tailoring Station. Chain and Plate Armor can be modified at a Blacksmithing Station.
  • Ranged, Bludgeon and Polearm weapons can be modified at a Carpentry Station. Blades weapons can be modified at a Blacksmithing Station.
  • Cloak Slot items can be modified at a Tailoring Station.

Gear Patterns Flexibility

  • All Armor patterns can be applied to any type of armor (Cloth, Leather, Chain or Plate). These are now Universal Armor Patterns.
  • All Cloak Slot patterns can be applied to any type of Cloak Slot items (Cloak, Backpack, Quiver, Wings). These are now Universal Cloak Slot Patterns.
  • All weapon patterns can only be applied to the specific type of weapon item (Bludgeon, Ranged, Polearms, Blades or Shield).

Pattern Types

  • There are two specific types of Patterns:
    • Basic Patterns are a Pattern that can be applied to an item, and then the pattern is consumed in the process. The item that has a Basic Pattern applied to it, will not yield a Basic Pattern back, when salvaging the item.
    • Eternal Patterns are a Pattern that can be applied to an item, and then the pattern is consumed in the process, but the Eternal Pattern is added to the item. The item that has an Eternal Pattern applied to it, will always yield an Eternal Pattern back, when salvaging the item.

Found or Purchased

  • Basic Patterns can be found from salvaging some Crafted armor, salvaged looted Armor and Weapons and salvaged shields purchased from NPC's.
  • Eternal Patterns can be purchased in the Crown Shop in game.

Trivia

Eternal Pattern are appearance patterns which can be applied to crafted items of a specific type, as indicated on the pattern. Once applied, the new item will appear 'just like' other items of the pattern name. The characteristics of the item are not modfied in the least, it simply appears differently when equipped by the character. An eternal pattern differs from a standard pattern in that when you salvage an item created with an eternal pattern, or apply another pattern to it, you will ALWAYS get that same eternal pattern back.[1]
