Event overview

Competitors are to sign up with the judge and list their exact name and level in chat. Once their name is in chat the judge will add them to the Grudge Match Spreadsheet. Once the tournament begins anyone listed on the spreadsheet can be challenged by another player.

Challenge list

The Challenge List is a list of people that are waiting to fight. When you challenge someone you are both added to the challenge list and the battles will be carried out in the order they were initiated. You cannot withdraw a challenge until you are the top position on the list. Be careful! Withdraws are the only way to lose a point!

Points System

The person with the most points wins! Here's a breakdown of the points and how to get them.

  • Wins: 2 points
  • Ties: 1 point each
  • Losses: 1 point
  • Terrifies: 1 point
  • Withdraw: -1 point

Wins

A win is scored after completing a fight and living more than 10 seconds after your opponent dies without any outside interference. If your opponent dies and there is outside interference the judge will decide what happens. A win is worth two points.

Ties

Ties are when both Avatars die within 10 seconds of each other. This can happen due to Damage Over Time effects or low health and falling while exiting the arena. Ties result in both Avatars being awarded one point.

Losses

While losing may not be a good way to gain points quickly it still takes Courage to fight. So for your courageous efforts you are awarded with one point.

Terrifies

Are you the highest level Avatar in New Britannia? Skilled and able to destroy your foes in one blow? If you can terrify them into not fighting you can wait through the combat challenge list and score a point while removing a point from your enemy.

Withdraw

Are you afraid to fight? Does that guy look too strong? You can withdraw when your match is called and take a -1 point hit instead of competing this round. You are not disqualified but you are moved to the back of the challenge list!
