Meticulous collection can occur while doing Mining, Forestry, Field Dressing, and Foraging (which are all Gathering skills).
With a non-meticulous collection, you are only able to gather once from the Resource Node and then the node is consumed. In this case, only Producer Experience is awarded for the gathering.

Things that Increase the Chance of Meticulous Collection
- Innate Skills - each gathering skill tree has an innate skill that will increase the chance of meticulous collection. The higher you raise these skills, the higher the chance of a meticulous collection when gathering the relevant resource node.
- Foods, Potions, and Equipment
