Lava fishing was invented by Kobolds to catch the rare flaming creatures. Lava fishing rods are made out of materials that won’t melt in lava (such as high grade tempered steel, carbon, and diamond).
- The Fishing Rod of Prosperity and the Fishing Rod of Prosperity can also be used to fish in lava.

There are currently no NPC merchants that sell Lava Fishing Rod. This item can occasionally be found on Player Vendors.
Trivia
As of Release 61, these are purchasable from fishing supply vendors and can be engraved with a tool engraving kit.
