There are two types of wells: a wishing well and a Water Well. Sometimes these wells look similar, but you can determine which type of well it is by right-clicking on the well:
- Water Well - when right-clicked, this well will not display the "examine" menu.
- Wishing Well in an adventure scene or NPC town (aka Wishing Well (Scene)) - when right-clicked, this well will display the "examine" menu will appear.
- Wishing Well in a Player Owned Town - when right-clicked, this well may then the "examine" menu. I think the menu appears depending on whether the well was placed on a lot and whether a player has permissions on the lot.
