Earth Resistance

Earth Resistance is a numerical representation of the Avatar's resistance to Earth Magic. A higher resistance value results in the Avatar having less susceptibility to the effects of Earth Magic.

Base Earth Resistance

The base earth magic resistance is half of the Avatar's base Earth Attunement. The base earth attunement is the average of the ten highest glyph/skill levels within the earth magic tree (including both active and innate skills).

• Base Earth Atttunement = (sum of the 10 highest level earth skills)/10

• Base Earth Resistance = (Base Earth Attunement)/2

Overall Earth Resistance

The overall earth resistance is the base earth resistance plus (or minus) any earth resistance buffs (or debuffs) from equipping certain items, from consuming certain foods/potions, and from acquiring certain buffs/blessings.

Higher Earth Resistance can be achieved by:

• Raising your Earth Attunement
• Raising the level of the Earth Warding skill
• Consuming a Potion of Resistance, Elemental
• Consuming Cinnamon Bark
• Equipping an item socketted with a Gaiaism Ward Gem or a Gaiaism Ward Jewel (Refined Gemstone)
• Any buff, blessing, consumable, or equipped item that increases Magic Resistance (items that effect the stat of Magic Resistance will also have that same effect on the resistance of every magic tree)

Lower Earth Resistance can occur with:

• Any debuff that lowers Earth Attunement.
• Any debuff that lowers Magic Resistance.
