Choas Resistance is a numerical representation of the Avatar's resistance to Chaos Magic. A higher resistance value results in the Avatar having less susceptibility to the effects of Chaos Magic.
Base Chaos Resistance
The base chaos magic resistance is half of the Avatar's overall Chaos Attunement.
- Base Chaos Resistance = (Chaos Attunement)/2
Overall Chaos Resistance
The overall chaos resistance is the base chaos resistance plus (or minus) any chaos resistance buffs (or debuffs) from equipping certain items, from consuming certain foods/potions, and from acquiring certain buffs/blessings.
Higher Chaos Resistance can be achieved by:
- Raising your Chaos Attunement
- Equipping an item socketted with a Chaos Ward Gem or a Chaos Ward Jewel (Refined Gemstone)
- Any buff, blessing, consumable, or equipped item that increases Magic Resistance (items that effect the stat of Magic Resistance will also have that same effect on the resistance of every magic tree)
Lower Chaos Resistance can occur with:
- Any debuff that lowers Chaos Attunement.
- Any debuff that lowers Magic Resistance.
