You can find a Wishing Well in many Adventuring Areas and NPC Towns throughout New Britannia. All of these objects have the same base model, but may have different decoration added to them that can vary from scene to scene.
There are two types of wells: a wishing well and a Water Well. Sometimes these wells look similar, but you can determine which type you are looking at by right-clicking on the well:
- Water Well - when right-clicked, this well will not display the "examine" menu.
- Wishing Well in an adventure scene or NPC town; also known as Wishing Well (Scene) - when right-clicked, this well will display the "examine" menu will appear.
- Wishing Well in a Player Owned Town - when right-clicked, this well may display the "examine" menu. I think the menu may appear depending on whether the well was placed on a lot and whether a player has permissions on the lot.
You can obtain a bucket of water from both wishing wells and water well (see #1 below); however, wishing wells also allow you to toss in a gold coin for a chance to obtain a reward.
