Hey man, Getting Started is coming out great! Nice work! I noticed you remade the pages I merged into the categories... I wasn't sure if that was a bad idea because it takes it out of the common search namespace but it also makes navigation extremely easy... I almost want to reskin the category pages so they're more fluently navigated through. Any luck with that designer? I just sent a message to a couple of people asking if they would help... we'll see if we can get another one or two on here with us :) Have a safe rest of your week/weekend, cheers! - Sorry for not mentioning that, I changed that since the Category namespace is not checked for default search, so their contents are not checked when we use the search box to search a term -as you already mentioned above-. We will make the navigation on important pages way to easier once we have more content. I will create the "user pages" (and maybe the "images" page, not sure if that is necessary) and after that I guess we will have a good set of articles to guide the new users.Nimuaq (talk) 01:02, 27 December 2013 (MST)
- Don't be sorry, it made sense and I was torn on if I should have done it in the first place... Yeah I'm pleased with how we're getting started here... nice foundation to work on if we can get a few more hands it would be great (farming through videos for screenshots and information about items/skills). I was looking at extensions that we might want and was curious if you knew of a good upload one... there are a couple but I wanted one that made it idiot proof to name new images being uploaded CORRECTLY so we all are on the same page... and don't duplicate the same image 50 times. - I still do to make the edit count userbox automated instead of making the users fill their own edit count. I think it was Extension:Editcount. Image names are important, we probably prefer a solid naming convention like "Deer.png" or "Axe_of_prosperity.png" and not "This_Is_A_Deer_Screenshot_LOL.JPG"; I don't know upload extension though.
