Socket

A socket is a hollow area into which you can place a jewel or gem. A socketed item has a jewel or gem permanently fixed into the hollow area.

The following player-crafted items can be socketed with either a Non-imbued Gem or an Imbued Gem.

Chest Piece - can be socketed with 1 gem.
Shield - can be socketed with 1 gem.
One-handed weapon - can be socketed with 1 gem.
Two-handed weapon - can be socketed with 2 gems of the same type (using different types of gems does not work).

The following player-crafted items can be socketed with either a Non-imbued Jewel or an Imbued Jewel.

Imbued Gems and imbued jewels cannot be socketed into Artifacts, Ephemeral Relics, or Pet/Summons Equipment.
