This page refers to many quests, each if which starts with a devotional caretaker.
The devotional blessings are shrines are that contain a pool of water. If the avatar jumps in the pool, they receive a buff (called a blessing) that last 5 days. Certain NPC Towns are considered Patron Cities because they espouse one of the 8 Virtuers or one for the 3 Principles.
