Collect Arcane Catalyst

"I found arcane catalyst on a siege engineer. I'd wager any scout in a siege would give their left arm to get some pieces of this chemical. I should find one in a siege and tell them what I found."

"I talked to a scout that asked me to eliminate as many siege engineers as I can. Also, if I find any arcane catalyst on their bodies, I should bring it to any scout in a siege. I'll get a reward for every six bits of arcane catalyst I turn in."

To Obtain the Quest

To begin this quest, you will first need to collect an Arcane Catalyst from a Siege Engineer in a Town Siege encounter. Bring the Arcane Catalyst to the Scout at the entrance to the encounter and talk to him about it to receive the quest.

Completing the Quest

Collect 36 Arcane Catalyst (which are a Quest Item that drops as loot from the Siege Engineers in the seige).

Then, return to the Scout NPC and give him the 36 Arcane Catalysts to claim the reward of gold, 106,496 experience points (212,992 during double XP), and a Shield of Attraction, Common. This is a Daily Quest that is repeatable once per 24 hours.

Hints

There are 6 Siege Engineers that spawn around each of the 3 catapults. When you kill all six of the Siege Engineers around a catapukt, the red flag near the catapult will disappear and the carapylt will be deactivated (i.e. it will stop shooting fireballs). When you deactivate all 3 catapults, a boss or bosses will appear (either a lich or 1 or more Obsidian Cabalists). You must kill the bosses in order to lift the seige.
