Obsidian Forge

Template:Infobox Location Template:Tocright Obsidian Forge is a Crafting Station located at the very bottom of the Hilt Fortress.

Obsidian Forge is the only Crafting Station where you can make the following items:

• Vermillion Lens
• Patterns for the Dread Artifacts (Bonesteel Crown, Heart of Sorrows, and Scepter of Dread)
• Obsidian Plate Armor
• Obsidian Weapons
• Obsidian crafting components
  • • Obsidian Ingot
    • Obsidian Sheet
    • Obsidian Blade
    • Obsidian Spear Head
    • Obsidian Axe Blade
    • Obsidian War Hammer Head

Which Door do I Use When Entering Hilt Fortress?

• To Craft the Vermillion Lens: You can only craft the Vermillion Lens when you have the quest Reassemble and Use the Vermillion Lens. If you have the quest, enter the door to Hilt Fortress that is labeled [This door can only be used for "Reassemble the Vermillion Lens" quest] in Nightshade Pass. When in this instance of Hilt Fortress, you can only craft the Vermillion Lens (and cannot craft anything else) on the Obsidian Forge.

• To craft patterns or obsidian items: enter the door to Hilt Fortress that is labeled [This door cannot be used for "Reassemble the Vermillion Lens" quest] in Nightshade Pass. In this instance of Hilt Fortress, you cannot craft the Vermillion Lens on the Obsidian Forge, but you can craft patterns and obsidian items.

How to Use the Obsidian Forge

You will need to walk into the circular area around the Obsidian Forge. Upon doing so, you will take a large hit of focus and health damage. You will now have to wait for the forge to "get ready" (you must wait several seconds before the forge will let you interact with it. Hover your mouse pointer over the forge, and when the pointer turns green, the forge is ready to be used). When the mouse pointer turns green, click on the forge to open the crafting window and begin crafting.

If you are interrupted by enemy attacks, the crafting window will close. Sometimes you can re-click on the forge to resume crafting without having to wait for the forge to "get ready" again.

In the instance of Hilt Fortress that is used to craft patterns and obsidian items, using the Obsidian Forge will continuously spawn waves of Fire Elementals and Obsidian Golems. You will likely need someone to fight off these creatures so that you can craft without being frequently interrupted.

• These Crafting Components can be crafted at the Obsidian Forge using Obsidian Ingot.

• This armor can be crafted at the Obsidian Forge using Obsidian Sheet.
