- During Release 7, ectoplasmic residue could occasionally be found. This was replaced by Corpse Wax, as the former name was not "gameworld compliant"[1], likely due to the Ectoplasm reagent.
- This was reversed at some later time, and both corpse wax and ectoplasmic residue can be found on undead.
- Ectoplasmic Residue was finally retired with Release 32.
