Template:Infobox Template:Tocright Artifacts are non-craftable magical items that can be found as loot or earned as quest rewards. With the Smelting skill, lower tier Artifacts of same type can combined to create an Artifact of a higher tier. The Recipes for combining artifacts are Discoverable. Combining artifacts is performed at the Smelting Station and you must have Smelting Tongs equipped. The combining recipes require that the following ingredient be placed on the crafting table:

Regarding modifications to artifacts:

• Artifact Rings & Necklaces can be socketted with a non-imbued Jewel.
• Artifact Weapons, Wands, Off Hand items, and Chest Armor can be socketted with a non-imbued Gem.
• All Artifacts can be modified with Enchantment.
• Artifacts cannot be Masterworked nor socketed with an Imbued Jewel.
