- In the wilderness of the Verdantis and Norgard regions hordes of barbarians and cannibals hold sway and terrorize the inhabitants. Occupied with their fruitless war with the Kobolds the Norgard nobility and military do little to keep the barbarian raids under control, only protecting the largest cities.
- The barbarian clans each identify with an animal totem and the Dragon clan is the most fearsome.[1]
