"We are purposely NOT tying features to fundraising goals because we do not want to be tied to anything beyond what we original promised and we want room to add features we weren't planning on (Jumping is the poster child for this). If we tied fundraising goals to specific features then we would remove the ability to react to feedback during testing.

We do however understand the power of fundraising goals and so our current strategy is to periodically set fun goals that will not cost the project any funds. That lets us keep the funds focused on promised features with some room to spend on emergent features (jumping). We also want the community to help us set these goals..."

$1.7 Million: Dynamic and Contests Resource Nodes + Optional Minimap System

• Meteorites, volcanic eruptions, outbreaks of rare plants and animals can appear and vanish suddenly for those who are paying attention. Some PvP focused resources appear in tile.
• Optional minimap system for the directionally impaired!
• The Lost Vale - A new mini-adventure centered around a lost valley previously hidden to players, now visible only during special astronomical alignments.

$1.8 Million: Tracy Hickman Novel + Catacombs + Apprentice System + Cloaks

• [Blade of the Avatar|Serialized novel] by Tracy Hickman as a prequel to the SotA storyline, distributed in digital form for all pledge tiers, and printed version for higher pledges.
• Massive, interconnected underworld with a story and ecology all its own.
• Apprentice system allows players with "Master" level skills to help lower skill players advance more quickly.
• Cloaks with full cloth simulation including being affected by wind.

$1.9 Million: The World is a Stage

• A new City Center Theater Building.
• Rentable by an individual or group for a performance.
• Only approved individuals may enter backstage or on stage.
• Players must pay to enter seating areas.
• Viewers may only emote, such as claps. (Claps are tracked to "rate" the performance)
• Money goes to performers for their performance.
• Also usable for weddings and other community events!
• We add a full complement of "masks" and "costumes" for use at various events.

$2 Million: Players Take Over the World

• Castles & Keeps effectively a new "Town Type", where the structure is ownable by players or guilds.
• Guilds can declare war against other guilds.
• Guilds can declare as full time PVP.
• Guilds can earn a guild house and guild bank.
• Guild tabbard/shield/flags usable by all members.
• Minimum of 5 castle types added to the game.
• Castle merchants with unique merchandise.
• Castle defense scenarios for most castles which can be played offline as well as online.

$2.25 Million: Mod Tools + Unique Art Creation Skill + Expanded Player Customization (unmet)

• Work begins to expose options for player modification of the offline game and limited elements of the online game.
• Skill for "Art Creation" to create actual individual unique art to show and trade in game.
• "New You" detailed character creator - We will provide tools well beyond the basic choices of gender, body/face/hair types, and layer in morph targets to customize your avatar to be "the real you" at the in-game "New You" salons.

$2.5 Million: Full VR Treatment (unmet)

• Virtual Reality: We will support the all the great new VR technologies that are coming of age now. Key example is the Occulus Rift HMD goggles.

End of Summer Telethon of the Avatar!

Telethon Funding Stretch Goal Rewards are available to any backer that pledges a minimum of $5 from the start of the telethon, until Midnight August 31, 2015 (Store Credit to make $5 minimum purchase does not apply). The Telethon Funding Stretch Goal Rewards are:

• $10,000 – Gossamer Cloak
• $25,000 – Lord British emote & Darklamp
• $50,000 – Nightmare “Mount” (flaming black coconuts that leave a trail of smoke plus black horse head mask with red flaming eyes)

The Wondrous Winter Telethon of the Avatar!

Telethon Funding Stretch Goal Rewards are available to any backer that pledges a minimum of $5 from the start of the telethon, until Midnight January 11 January 12 (Spending Store Credit to make $5 minimum purchase does not apply). The Telethon Funding Stretch Goal Rewards are:

• $10,000 – /snow emote
• $25,000 – Snowflake Cloak (increases length of /snow emote)
• $50,000 (unmet) – Ice Nightmare Mount (frozen coconuts with icy mist plus white horse head with icy, misting eyes)

The Spring Festival of the Avatar Telethon!

Telethon Funding Stretch Goal Rewards are available to any backer that pledges a minimum of $5 from the start of the telethon, until Midnight May 2 (Spending Store Credit to make $5 minimum purchase does not apply). The Spring Festival Telethon Funding Stretch Goal Rewards are:

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

Be it known that Lord British hath challenged me, Darkstarr to a fencing match whilst both wearing puffy shirts. I, Darkstarr hath accepted said match pending the achievement of $3.25 Million in funding! Huzzah!

Be it also known that should such funding be achieved by Release 3 (Feb 20) then Rustic Dragon shall train Darkstarr in the fencing arts and this training shall be captured in a video montage with music!

Be it also known that should such funding reach $3.3M by Release 3 (Feb 20) then the loser of said tourney shall go jump in a lake!
