Stealth (or Stealthiness) is stillness or movement that is done with extreme care and quietness, so as to avoid detection.

Stealth makes your avatar invisible to players and creatures around you. Because aggressive creatures cannot see or hear your Avatar, they do no initiate attacks on your Avatar (i.e. they do not aggro to your Avatar).

Situations that disable stealth and reveal your Avatar's presence include:

  • The stealth effect expires.
  • The stealthed Avatar gains aggro from a creature.
  • The stealthed Avatar is attacked.
  • The stealthed Avatar sustains damage (e.g. damage from falling, damage from a poison field).
  • The stealthed Avatar interacts with something in the environment (e.g. opens a chest, opens a door, turns on a light, etc).
  • The stealthed Avatar starts attacking something.
  • The stealthed Avatar uses any skill.
  • The stealthed Avatar gets too close to a player or creature.
  • For Vanish, Cocoon of Night, and Camouflage - any movement (except jumping) will disable stealth.
  • The stealthed Avatar is exposed to the Reveal Hidden skill (i.e. an opponent casts reveal hidden on the area in which stealthed Avatar is hiding).
