Obsidian Forge Recipes

The recipes listed below can only be crafted on the Obsidian Forge in Hilt Fortress.

Recipes for Obsidian Crafting Components, Obsidian Armor, & Obsidian Weapons

These recipes can only be found in Hilt Fortress.

These recipes can be found in small rectangular wooden chests hidden throughout Hilt Fortress (each chest will contain 0 to 2 recipes). The chests will also sometimes contain an Obsidian Band. Note: you may need to go into Hilt Fortress multiple times and loot the chests in order to get all the recipes (the instance usually resets 15 minutes after you leave).

The chests are often inconspicuously placed in an alcove, under spider webs, in a wall niche, etc. The locations of the chests are:

• Loc: (105.104, -3.971, 241.729) - in the "Cabal Barracks"; it is sitting on a cabinet near the desk.
• Loc: (34.929, -19.611, 182.198) - on the upper walkway around the "Cabal Arena", near some fallen bricks.
• Loc: (76.709, -29.718, 188.993) - in the "Cabal Arena" (spider room with round platform); it is hidden under a spider web.
• Loc: (76.751, -29.724, 209.57) - in an obstructed alcove near the "Cabal Arena"; it is hidden under a spider web and is against the wall at the base of the obstructing stone blocks.
• Loc: (79.477, -44.895, 70.564) - on the ground, in a hallway coming from "Crypts of Eternity".
• Loc: (64.541, -44.99, 40.586) - in wall niche and next to a coffin; it is in a hallway coming from "Crypts of Eternity".
• Loc: (38.972, -55, 81.361) - in wall niche and next to a skeleton; it is in a hallway coming from "Crypts of Eternity".
• Loc: (82.972, -50, 72.026) - on a balcony overlooking the "Crypts of Eternity".
• Loc: (53.948, -75.114, 18.489) - in a side room of the "Obsidian Chapel", it is hidden under a spider web.

To craft these recipes enter the door to Hilt Fortress that is labeled [This door cannot be used for "Reassemble the Vermillion Lens" quest] in Nightshade Pass.

Recipes for the Dread Artifact Patterns

These recipes convert Dread Artifacts (which are quests items) into a no-trade pattern. The pattern can then be applied to a crafted item; which turns the item into a trade-able item (which can be traded, sold, or placed as decoration). To craft these patterns, enter the door to Hilt Fortress that is labeled [This door cannot be used for "Reassemble the Vermillion Lens" quest] in Nightshade Pass.
