Obsidians

Template:Infobox Obsidians were a powerful, militaristic organization that attempted to subjugate all the people of the Novia continent, after the Cataclysm. They followed the Obsidian Septagram of Dominion in order to subjugate and secure their power and rulership of the land.

History

The Obsidians were ruled over and controlled by the Cabal of Obsidians, sorcerers who employed powerful magic abilities.

The Empire grew in size and might, eventually forming a huge Army of Obsidian Triumph to conquer the warlords and city-states of the Novian continent.

The sorcerers were not satisfied with a mortal army, and used mutational magic to reshape creatures to use in their conquest. They captured human slaves and used them as experiments to form and reshape them into some of these creatures, known as fomorian creatures. Elves, Satyrs, Fauns and Trolls, reshaped by the sorcerers magics, joined their legions. They also commanded the magic to animate the undead.

Present Day

Eight wraithlike entities known as Obsidian Cabalists are all that remain of the once mighty Cabal of Obsidians. They lay siege to the towns of New Britannia with a new, subjugated army of humans, the notorious Ebon Dawn Cultists.

The new Archipelago of Mistrendur has been slowly revealing the Obsidians presence was not exclusive to the Novian continent, and is far more reaching than previously known.

Trivia

• It is currently unknown what caused the fall of the Obsidians.
• Hidden Vale has no noticeable presence of any obsidian architecture. The Obsidians may have never discovered that continent.
