This item can only be crafted when you have the quest Reassemble and Use the Vermillion Lens at the Obsidian Forge. You must enter the door labeled Enter Hilt Fortress [This door can only be used for "Reassemble the Vermillion Lens" quest] when in Nightshade Pass.

- It was broken during the time of the Obsidians, who discovered how to reforge it at the Obsidian Forge in Hilt. The pieces were hidden in the Grannus Colossus (along with the repair recipe), the Pool of Destiny in the Epitaph, and under the Oracle Colossus (also know as Alabastia).(Citation needed)
