You must have the 3 shards: Shard of a Vermillion Lens (bottom), Shard of a Vermillion Lens (upper left), Shard of a Vermillion Lens (upper right), and 5 Chunk of Coal. This item can only be crafted when you have the quest Reassemble and Use the Vermillion Lens at the Obsidian Forge.
You must enter the door labeled Enter Hilt Fortress [This door can only be used for "Reassemble the Vermillion Lens" quest] when in Nightshade Pass.
